Wire feed types have a groove size which is the last two digits of the number.  We tend to keep wire feed groove sizes:

• “12” (1.2mm or .048″, which covers .035 and .045 wire, along with .030)
• “16” (1.6mm or .063″, which covers .045 and .062 wire)

Note that we recommend using larger wire sizes than you would with MIG.  We mainly use .045 and .062 wire, and melt the single strand into the part.  This allows the wire feeder to push the gun along (which gives a perfectly neat weld) rather than building up a molten pool like a MIG.
